Thanks for joining Confessions of an IT Business Owner

Great interviews start with great guests, and since you’re here, we’ve got that first part down.

The next step is great audio. If you don’t have a good mic on hand, the Logitech Clearchat is a great choice. You can buy it on Amazon for less than $30 and have it in just a few days.

We also have a handy checklist so you can be sure your audio sounds as great as your message does. Download it, and read through it before the interview.

If you don’t already have a webcam, we recommend the Logitech C920. It is a relatively inexpensive webcam that can be used time and time again.

And, of course, we need good content to make a show. So let’s talk about that.

We’ll lead with a pre-recorded intro and then dive into the interview. It will be very conversational about your IT or MSP Business and experience growing your business but some specific questions may come up.

Depending on how the conversation flows, I could ask any of the following (so it’s good to have an answer prepared):

  • What was the passion behind starting your business?
  • What are some things you’ve learned in growing your business that most people wouldn’t know about managed IT?
  • What are some of the wins you’ve celebrated in being the owner of a technology business?
  • What kind of struggles have you run into in owning a managed service business?

The interview will take place on Zoom (download the “Zoom Client for Meetings”) at the appointed time: The invitation link will be shared via email and added to the Calendar invite. This is an audio and video interview.
